1909 

Kerotest is incorporated as Pittsburgh Reinforced Brazing & Machine Company. 

1914

Kerotest develops valves for high pressure compressed gases. 

1917 

The FIRST American manufactured cast steel gate valve for the oil industry is introduced. 

1921 

Testing of high-pressure valves with Kerosene is introduced and becomes an industry standard. 

1927 

"Kerotest" meaning "Kerosene Tested" is adopted as the new company name. 

1930 

Kerotest introduces the FIRST Packless Metal-Diaphragm valve to the refrigeration market. 

1942-43

The Unites States Maritime Commission grants Kerotest three "M" Awards for outstanding production effectiveness supporting War efforts, an achievement obtained by less than 5% of participating manufacturers.

1963 

Kerotest enters the gas distribution industry with "Model 1", the FIRST steel gate valve designed specifically for natural gas service. 

1965

Kerotest develops "special" ultra-clean valves for the emerging semi-conductor industry.

1971 

Kerotest receives the ASME "N" stamp and introduces the FIRST Packless Metal-Diaphragm valve for nuclear service and becomes the leading valve supplier to over 100 nuclear power plants worldwide. 

1976

The United States Secretary of Commerce grants Kerotest the President's "E" Certificate for exports "For an outstanding effort to the Export Expansion Program of the United States of America".

1980

The Department of Energy (DOE) selects Kerotest, as one of two suppliers, to manufacture specialty valves supporting the Uranium Enrichment program.

1982

Kerotest invents, patents and introduces the world's FIRST hermetic bellows stem seal device, the HSS, for rotary, quarter turn flow control devices.

1983 

Kerotest becomes an "employee owned company" with the development of an ESOP. 

1985 

Kerotest introduces the Innogaz Electrofusion system to the natural gas market. 

1987

Kerotest becomes the FIRST approved Polyethylene Valve supplier to British Gas
(BG PS/V7).

1988 

Kerotest introduces the ANSI Class 150 Weldball, an all-welded steel ball valve product line to the natural gas market. 

1989

Kerotest acquires its Louisiana Manufacturing Facility under long term lease, thus opening its second American manufacturing facility. 

1991 

Kerotest's dedication to providing high quality, innovative products and service is further enhanced with the commitment to the Total Quality Management philosophy. 

1993 

Kerotest celebrates 30 years of continuous service of the "Model 1" gate valve in the natural gas distribution industry. 

1994 

Kerotest introduces ANSI Class 300 Weldball, expanding the all-welded steel ball valve product line offering to the natural gas industry. 

1994 

Kerotest introduces the FIRST "universal" electrofusion control box to the natural gas market, the Charlotte Universal Electrofusion Control Box

1995 

Kerotest invents, patents and introduces the Composite and Transition Ball Valve for large polyethylene pipe and high pressure PA-11 material applications to the natural gas distribution industry.

1995 

Kerotest relocates to state-of-the-art manufacturing, machining and office facilities in Pittsburgh, PA, making a $7 million dollar investment. 

1998

Kerotest invents, patents and introduces the FIRST cordless, battery-powered electrofusion control box, the PortafuseTM,  to the natural gas industry.

1999

Kerotest introduces "Full-Port" Weldball valves in ANSI Class 150 and 300 service pressure ratings further expanding the offering of the all-welded steel ball valve product line to the natural gas market.

1999

Kerotest is honored as the "Pennsylvania ESOP Company of the Year" by the ESOP Association at a ceremony in Washington DC. 

2000

Kerotest acquires the "Marsh-Bellofram Instrument Valve" product line expanding its current needle and gage valve product line offerings. 

2001

Kerotest introduces the FIRST "universal" cordless, battery-powered electrofusion controller with bar-code and large fitting capability to the natural gas market, the Portafuse II TM

2002

Kerotest purchases the Louisiana Manufacturing Facility outright, making a $4.5 million dollar investment in the facility and new manufacturing equipment. 

2003

Kerotest introduces the PolyballTM Polyethylene Ball Valve to the natural gas industry produced at Kerotest's Louisiana Facility on multi-million dollar state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment, with an industry FIRST of full forward and backward traceability. 

2003

Kerotest celebrates 20 years as an "employee owned company", an ESOP.
